An exquisite large original painting on wood of Green Tara, a Tibetan Buddhist energetic healing deity. Created by a thangka painter in Nepal, this painting measures 17" tall x 17" across and 1" thick. It has an attached self-frame that has also been painted, with a wonderful Tibetan-style slanted overhang that is intricately painted. The frame has been carved with lotus petals, then painted. Traditional thangka-painting techniques and iconography have been used, with lots of ground gold. It is not old, although the artist has given it an antiqued look. Comes with a hanging hook.
