GREENWICH MINT OFFICIAL 2000 MILLENNIUM MEDALLION Description: This is a commemorative medal struck by The Greenwich Mint Ltd and comes in a blue velvet lined blue case. These medals are seemingly commonplace, being widely available at the time, but it was possible for companies and organisations to have their own designs and inscriptions struck on the reverse. This created short production runs and rarity. The obverse is a set of concentric circles each with a symbolic meaning related to time. This particular medallion was commissioned by RPR (Rhone Poulenc Rohrer) of West Malling, Kent for an event on 10 December 1999 and bears those details plus an image of Hever Castle in Kent - presumably where the event was held. We assume the medallion to be gold plating on base metal. Size: 44mm diameter, 3mm width Condition: Brilliant uncirculated. Handled, with fingerprint marks. WHERE POSSIBLE WE WILL COMBINE THE POSTAGE FOR MULTIPLE PURCHASES. PLEASE WAIT FOR AN INVOICE.
