C. 1960'S GRETE JALK TEAKWOOD THREE SEATER SOFA W/ LIGHT GREEN WHALE CORD UPHOLSTERY This seven (7) day auction is for a fabulous Grete Jalk designed three seater sofa made by "DUX; Made in Sweden; Imported Original"(so marked). DUX Industriers AG manufactured furniture designs for a number of Scandinavian designers, including Bruno Mathsson and Grete Jalk. The teak wood frame is in excellent condition, no damage. The upholstery is in good shape except for a small hole (see pic) in top left cushion about 1/8"x1/4", and has a couple of small spots on middle top cushion w it was spot-cleaned, and a couple of marks on left and middle bottom cushions (easily remedied with a professional cleaning or reupholstering). Grete Jalk (1920- ) was formally trained at the School of Arts and Crafts, going on to study with Danish Master Kaare Klint at the Royal Academy of Arts in Copenhagen. Working out of her own design office/studio, she established an international reputation doing designs for Fritz Hansen and Poul Jeppesen, and with annual appearances at various exhibitions and shows. I have placed a conservative reserve price on this auction with a lot of wiggle room. Being sold as is. Please review the shipping details below. The auction ends on Saturday. If you pay by Paypal and it shows up as cleared before Monday, I'll see if they can dispatch the driver to my shop and pick it up. Otherwise it will be the following Monday.
