Gorgeous Unique Greyhound Marquisite Pin to adorn any clothing! 2 1/2 long What could be a greyhound's wish??? An adoption group called 'A GREYHOUND'S WISH' A committed group of volunteers working very hard to place greyhounds in responsible loving homes. As with all groups funds are needed for the everyday and the not so everyday! Meet Jake pictured below- found in the middle of a busy street by a kind lady who took him home. After searching for the owner and no luck she called a local group she had seen doing what all greyhound groups do - meeting and a greeting.. So enter A Greyhounds Wish. And lucky Jake had a group of people to care. Did I mention he is 12 1/2? The vet was very concerned: He was covered in flea's and was extremely dirty. He had the appearance of being an outside dog. He's thin, but not excessively. He is after all a 12 1/2 yr. old guy with alot of muscle loss. He's pretty week/stiff in the hips and back legs, but once he gets moving he can go. His teeth are horrendous, and his breath - WHEW! It could make your nose hairs shrivel up and never grow back =)He was given a full physical. He's stiff in the hips as I said, and he's got those crazy legs that seniors get when they run. You know the look - legs flying everyw as we watch with fear on our faces that at any moment they'll crash. His heart sounds good, and he was heartworm and Lymes negative. We had bw sent out to the lab and everything came back normal. The mass on his back was aspirated and Dr.Varner is concerned that it is some type of cancer - either hemangiosarcoma, or (hopefully) hemangioparicytomawhich is a benign tumor. He also has a smaller mass in his mouth along the gumline. Oral cancers are typically not good, but we'll keep our fingers crossed. He's scheduled for a dental on the 18th, and will have the mass on his back and the on in his mouth both removed and sent out for histopath. He's eating well, sleeps alot, and is generally a happy old guy. I will donate 50% of the proceeds to A Greyhound's Wish in Hanover Maryland. Permission for running these eBays as per the rules of eBay is shown in the letter below.
