you have a beautiful, very good condition authentic Eames/Herman Miller chair. These chairs were produced from 1953-1993 in fiberglass. (current production is in polypropelene). This chair is undated but is believed to be from about 1953-1957. This one came with no base. It is on a new chrome reproduction rocker base. I am a hobbyist of Eames furniture - not an expert. This item is described and photographed to the best of my ability but will be sold AS IS . Please make a note of that. Non-paying bidders will be given the appropriate feedback and reported as delinquent to Ebay. Style - This is a classic fiberglass side shell chair. It is fitted with a new production rocker base. Both are in very good condition. Condition - The chair is in very good condition. I would rate it a 9 out of 10. The surface is glossy and lustrous with rich fiber showing (see photos). The edges have no chips or cracks and wear is almost non-existent considering age. The shell is clearly embossed Herman Miller and has the original patent label. The shockmounts are supple, secure, and original, with new screws included. The base is a new production chrome rocker base with birch runners. It has been gently used. Color - This chair is a beautiful glossy Griege. The color is warmer than plain grey. Its a great neutral color that goes with just about anything.
