Up for bid is an old 1948 presidential election poster with a painting of the "Home of The Presidents" by Grif Teller, famous railroad artist, which is signed by him in the left bottom corner. This poster is in pretty good condition for its age, it has some wrinkles and a few tears on both the left and right of the picture. The largest tear about 3 3/4 inches is above the trees on the right. It would frame very well, and the tears would not be very noticeable, as shown in the photos. This poster has black and white photos of Harry Truman, Alben Barkley, Thomas Dewey and Earl Warren. It has a small biography of each candidate, as well as a small summary of both the Democratic and Republican platform issues at the time. It shows the names of the members of the senate, what state they are from, and when their term expires. It also has number of electoral votes for president from 1789 to 1945, and the electoral and popular vote for president, by party and states from in 1940 and 1944. Below are small black and white photos of all the previous presidents. This poster has been rolled up for many years, and will be sent in a heavy cardboard tube mailer. This poster has metal edging on both the top and bottom. This poster is 19 1/2 inches wide and 29 inches in length. It would look very nice in a frame. The free listing tool. List your
