FABULOUS GSH MAJOLICA DISH circa 1860-1880 OAK LEAF PATTERN BRANCH HANDLE APPROX. MEASUREMENTS 12 7/8"L by 9 3/8"W by 1 7/8"H weight 1lb 13.0oz GSH impressed This wonderful Majolica dish came from an equally wonderful estate auction held in the Midwest. Condition is minty, minty, minty! T are no cracks or chips to this piece and for once the handle is not broken or repaired which is often the case. T are a couple of flecks to the glaze on the outer rim leaves. T is also an old chip on the bottom of the dish, which is now smooth with age. T are some glaze skips to the foot which I have photographed. Perhaps, using a loupe, t might be others marks which I have not detected. The glaze is superb. Rich and carefully applied. Deep green in the center of the plate. Nicely veined. Yellow highlights with a yellow border and outer pale pink border. Branch handle is generous. Dish is nicely shaped, extremely large in size. Well-contoured. Glaze on the bottom is stunning. Beautifully mottled and GSH marking is crisp. Just think this is an exceptional piece of majolica. If you are a collector of GSH, or looking for an exciting piece to add to your collection of American pottery, this majolica dish would be exquisite. If you have any questions or wish additional pictures, I am happy to assist. I shall wrap your dish with extreme care and ship it to you within e day. The new owner is to pay (9.75 for Fully Insured USPS Priority Shipping within the United States. Buyers outside of the United states are to pay Priority International Mail/Fully Insured. THANKS! Live Well! Laugh often! all cheers, z-
