The photo's will sell these items! The item is a vintage Griffon & Howe 7/8" ring scope set. As seen from the photo's, it is in excellent condition, with little if any use. The light scuff marks on the base may of been caused from moving around for 50-60+ years. The base has very strong makers mark "GRIFFON & HOWE INC. NEW YORK PAT. # 1,856,549 MAY 3, 1932". The levers on the base are tight and solid, with no marks on the barrels/pins. I do not see any splits, cracks or damage. The rings are like new with no wear marks other than light scuffs on the edges, but giving it the worse case scenario. The mount is solid steel, not sure what it goes to but I placed a ruler for measurement - M1 garand / mauser bolt? The base locks up solid to the side mount as it should. I do not have the screws that attach the rings to the base, but do have the screws on the rings (not marred up). I took very detail photo's to represent these items best I can, but please ask if you have further questions. Thanks for looking and have a great day! I will ship these items in a small flat rate USPS box for maximum protection. PS. I also listed a German scope mount and base that has the same concept of this design. I would greatly appreciate advise on that item if anyone out there can help me identify exactly what it is and what it might go to. Thanks in advance!
