This lovely little angel I originally listed as a planter is actually a rosary holder according to a helpful e-bay member... please read the note I posted from her below referencing her daughter recieving the same one in 1963. This rosary holder is a hand painted example of California Art Pottery at it's finest. In her light blue and white robes which match her blue eyes, this sweet young angel has green foliage trim painted on her wings as she folds her hands in prayer. She has an opening in front for the rosary beads and the praying hands support the crucifix. This particular piece is in very good shape with no chips or cracks or damage to her paint. This darling cherub is signed by the artist, Jessie Grimes, and numbered 713. She stands 6 and 1/2 inches tall and measures 5 inches wide wing tip to wing tip.
