Up for sale is a gorgeous Grindley Flow Blue Coupe Cereal Bowl in the Blue Rose Pattern - made in England. I referred to for the name of bowl- they do not have any in stock - this must be a hard one to locate The bowl measures approx. 6-3/8" in diameter. This is a beautifully, detailed bowl!! The sides of this bowl are a striking, rich cobalt blue color - the rim is scalloped and trimmed in gold - t is a raised dot pattern underneath the gold trim. Just beneath the gold trim is a raised, small floral design in white. The bowl center has a blue rose with gold trim - the basin of the bowl also has a scalloped, gold trim. The backmark indicates these bowls were produced by Grindley between 1891 - 1914. This bowl is in wonderful condition. The gold trim is intact, t is a nice shiny glaze, a few, minor utensil marks, no chips, cracks or hairlines. It does not appear to have been used often. T are 3 stilt marks on the backside - one of them is a little larger than the other two (looks like it popped its glaze) - stilt marks are not considered flaws but commonly found on Flow Blue pieces. Besides the Grindley backmark t is an impressed 44, the number 46 in blue, and a xo or 40 in gold. Please email me with any questions or if you would like to see more photos. Insurance for breakables is required. I take care to package my items carefully. read more
