Originally established in Erie, Pennsylvania in 1865 as the partnership of Selden and Griswold, and chartered in 1887 as the Griswold Manufacturing Company, Griswold is known to have produced some of the finest cast iron hollow ware ever produced in America, right up to their disappearance in 1957. Meticulously cleaned, fully restored, and verified as authentic, this is vintage GRISWOLD as it was meant to look! When this fine skillet left the Griswold factory, it was NOT dusty or dirty, was NOT encrusted with coagulated grease and carbon, was NOT rusty, did NOT reek of rancid oil, and allowing for age and normal use, now once again looks much as it did so many decades ago!
