Up for auction is an excellent # 9 "golf ball" brownie pan by the old Griswold Manufacturing Company of Erie, PA. It is in extremely fine condition and has no problems whatsoever. Its markings are all super deep and clear, including "Griswold" on the top of one handle. It was made sometime between 1925 and the 1930s. According to the 1997 reference book on Griswold muffin pans, this 12-cup pan is "variation 6: rarity 4; value $150 to 175." This pan has been gently used in the past, leaving a striking and rich chocolate brown patina. The pan measures 10 1/4 by 7 by 1 1/8 inches. It would make an outstanding display item or could still be used to produce delicious batches of mini-muffins. Insurance is included in the reasonable shipping charge of $10, USPS Priority Mail.
