Griswold Cast Iron Ebelskiver Apple Cake Pan - #32 – 962 – Cleaned and Seasoned This fantastic Danish apple cake pan or Ebelskiver, as they are called, has been thoroughly cleaned and lightly seasoned and is ready to serve you in your kitchen the day it is received. It can also be used as an egg poacher according to the Griswold Co. by simply placing a lid on it. It is 9 ¼” in diameter and has a ridge around the top edge. It stands 1 ¾” tall and is surrounded by a skirt to keep the heat going to the cups. This pan has 7 cups that are 2 ¼” across at the top and are 1 ¼” deep. With the handle it is about 14” long. There is no pitting or holes in the cooking cups which have a very slight rough casting feel. It does not sit flat on a hard surface. There is the very slightest of a wobble only from the handle to the opposite side. I can place a business card under one side to completely stabilize it. There are no cracks, breaks, chips, or repairs to the piece. The bottom is marked: No. 32 Around the outside edge is marked: Griswold Erie Pa 962 It was originally made sometime between the 1923’s – 1950’s according to the information I can find.
