Griswold Cast Iron #7 Small Logo Early Handle Skillet – Cleaned and Seasoned This great small logo early handled skillet has been cleaned and lightly seasoned. All the nasty baked on crud and carbon buildup have been cleaned off which leaves you with a beautiful piece for use. It is ready to join your cooking staff the day it is received. It sits flat on a hard surface with no wobble but there is a very slight upward bow to the bottom inside cooking surface. I can slide a business card under the very end of a 6” ruler being used as a gauge. This skillet was originally made sometime between 1939 and 1944. It is 9 ¾” across without the pour spouts and 2” deep. With the handle it is 14 ¼” long. The back of the skillet is marked: No. 7 Griswold logo in a double circle – 1 7/8” across Erie PA 701 G There is a 7 at the base of the handle on the front. The inside cooking surface is smooth to the feel with no holes but does have very extremely shallow pin point type pitting under the seasoning. I mention it for accuracy. I can see it but not feel it. There are no chips, cracks, breaks, rust, or repairs to the piece. There are the usual discoloration and utensil scratches from years of use and age. I clean all of my cast iron back to the original gun metal gray casting or as close as I can. This way it has no residue or contaminants read more
