GriswoldCast Iron #4 Small Logo Grooved Handle Skillet – Near Mint - Cleaned and Seasoned This great small logo near mint grooved handled #4 Griswold skillet has been cleaned and lightly seasoned and is ready to join your cooking staff the day it is received. It sits flat on a hard surface without any wobble but there is a very slight upward bow to the inside bottom cooking surface. I can slide the corner of two sheets of copy paper under the end of a CD case being used as a gauge. This skillet was originally made sometime between 1944 and 1957. It is 7” across without the pour spouts and 1 ½” deep. With the handle it is 11” long. The back of the skillet is marked: No. 4 Griswold logo in a double circle – 1 7/8” across Erie, PA. 702 A There is a 4 at the base of the handle on the front. The inside cooking surface is glass smooth to the feel with no holes or pitting. There are no chips, cracks, breaks, rust, or repairs to the piece. There are the usual discoloration and minor utensil scratches from years of use and age. It rings like a bell when tapped with a wooden spoon. I clean all of my cast iron back to the original gun metal gray casting or as close as I can. This way it has no residue or contaminants from previous use or storage.
