This vintage Griswold #9 dutch oven was acquired from a recent estate sale in Boca Raton, Florida,and has been in the same family home for six generations! It lays flat with no wobble, the inside is smooth and clear,and when tapped with a wooden spoon, it rings like a bell!Other than some soap and water, and a little light olive oil for these photos, the cast iron has not been cleaned, or re-seasoned.There are alot of bidders, who, for dietary or religious reasons, will not use certain chemicals ( like "Easy-Off" ), or animal by-products ( like "Manteca Lard" ).We respect your opinions and decisions, and are leaving the cleaning up to you.Our feedback conveys our integrity to our customers, and we hope to talk to you soon!
