we have an outstanding vintage cast iron DOUBLE SKILLET combo (No.90 ~ 1022 Top/1021 Bottom) by GRISWOLD of Erie, PA (merged with Wagner Ware in 1957) which measure approx. 11" in top diameters (add 4 3/4" for the handles) X 9" in base diameters X 3" side high (deep, bottom skillet) X 2" side high (top skillet) X 5" in total height together, and are in very good maintained condition with no cracks or warping, no baked-on grime, no rust or oxidation, they have been thoroughly cleaned and lightly seasoned with oil to prevent rust, and the interiors are smooth to the touch. Despite the cleaning, t remains some very minor residual heat/cook marks which are not at all offensive. The bottom skillet has an assist grip (1 1/8" x 2 7/8"), both pieces can be used as skillets (with the top also acting as a lid), and both pieces fit together perfectly. The top is marked, "DOUBLE SKILLET TOP ~ 90 ~ GRISWOLD (medium logo) ~ PAT.NO.... ~ ERIE PA., U.S.A. ~ PA.NO.... ~ 1022" and the bottom is marked, "DOUBLE SKILLET BOTTOM ~ 90 ~ GRISWOLD (medium logo) ~ PAT.NO.... ~ ERIE PA., U.S.A. ~ PAT.NO.... ~ 1021." These Double Skillets heat evenly, retain the heat, and with consistent care they will last a lifetime. (Perfect skillet for frying chicken.) Came from a well cared for private collection of many years, however the exact ages are unknown...©1930-40's. Together these skillets weigh approx. 10 lbs without packing box and packing material, and will be shipped FEDEX.
