This is, according to Schiffer's "The Book of Griswold & Wagner", a waffle iron from a No. 13 Hotel Waffle Iron & Stove which was patented in 1901. The book also says that the "Two-section waffle pans were a special order, and tfore are uncommon". It is marked, (on both sides): "GRISWOLD", (slant logo), "THE GRISWOLD MFG. CO. ERIE PA U.S.A. - PAN No 891". It is approximately 17 1/4" x 4". It is "as found/as is" with soiling, especially inside, and slight rust from age, usage and storage. The hinge works easily, please see below. PLEASE NOTE: We ended and are now relisting this item because it was brought to our attention that the hinge did not appear to be original. We have looked more closely at the hinges in the above mentioned book, and we do believe that this hinge has at some time been broken and repaired, (very nicely, too). We make every effort to be accurate in our item description, and have taken some more pictures too show the hinge and interior in more detail. Buyer will pay postage, insurance, and $1.00 handling. We ship by Priority Mail. Money order and PayPal ship immediately. Check takes 10 days to clear. Please e-mail with any questions .
