This is a vintage Griswold No. 8 Waffle Iron. It can make six circular waffles at a time.
The paddles are in the very desirable web pattern. It was made in Erie, Pennsylvania and patented on January 16th, 1883. It measures 20" long, 11" wide, and 3" deepOverall it is in good condition. T is some minor texture to the base itself from use, a subtle contrast to the silky smooth texture of the waffle cups themselves visible in the photos. T is one tiny pinhole in the base (see photo). One of the socket holders also has a piece of the wall missing. Photographed without the waffle iron in it it looks worse than it is . With the waffle iron seated you barely notice. I am trying to be very precise in my desciption. Neither of the above issues botd me while it was in our collection. Please email with any questions. Thanks for looking.
