Griswold #8 Low Dome Cast Iron Raised Letter Skillet LidCover - #468 A This great large logo Griswold full mark raised letter #8 skillet lid or cover that is the low dome style has been cleaned and lightly seasoned and is ready to join your cooking staff the day it is received. It sits flat on a hard surface without any wobble. This lid was originally made sometime between 1915 and 1935. It is 10 ¾” across without the pour spouts when measuring the outside rim and stands about 1 ½” tall without the handle. It fits a #8 skillet whether they are large logo or small logo. The inside skillet rim on the lid has an outside diameter of 10”. This lid is in exceptionally nice vintage condition! The inside surface is smooth with no pitting and appears to be in original condition. I find no pitting on the top side of this lid. It is in exceptionally good condition. There are no chips, cracks, breaks, rust, or repairs to the piece. There are the usual discoloration from years of use, storage, and age. There are some casting flaws on the outside and inside outer rim of the lid that you can see in the pictures. Inside is marked: Patented Sept. 22. 1925. Pat’d.
