Griswold #9 Low Dome Cast Iron Raised Letter Skillet Lid or Cover - #469 - Cleaned and SeasonedThis large logo Griswold full mark raised letter #9 skillet lid or cover that is the low dome style has been cleaned and lightly seasoned and is ready to join your cooking staff the day it is received. It sits flat on a hard surface without any wobble. This lid was originally made sometime between 1915 and 1935. It is 11 3/8" across without the pour spouts when measuring the outside rim and stands about 1 ½" tall without the handle. It fits a Griswold #9 skillet whether they are large logo or small logo. The inside skillet rim on the lid has an outside diameter of 10 ¾".I do not see any pitting outside or inside on this lid. There are two spots of what appears as casting flaws in the outer rim on the top side. There are no chips, cracks, breaks, rust, or repairs to the piece. There are the usual discoloration from years of use, storage, and age.Inside is marked:Patented Sept. 22. 1925.Pat'd Feb. 10. 1920.Griswold logo in a double circle - 3 ¼" in diameterErie, Pa., U.S.A.469BI clean all of my cast iron back to the original gun metal gray casting or as close as I can.
