GRISWOLD NO. 3 FRYING PAN ~ EXCELLENT!

Found At An Estate Sale Over The Weekend, And Up For Auction is A No 3 Cast Iron Fry Pan Model 709A From Erie, Pa, With Griswold Cross No.3 Griswold skillet that carries an "A" version of the 709-pattern number.

The pan has a smooth bottom. As you can see in the pictures, the 6¼-inch skillet (6 ½" Top Lip To Lip) is in excellent condition. T are no dents, cracks or rust. On the bottom of the pan 709-A is molded below the Griswold cross.

Collectors know (but maybe not everyone does) that the Griswold Manufacturing Co of Erie, Pennsylvania, was recognized world wide as a premium producer of fine cast iron cookware. Manufacturing in the plant at 12th and Raspberry Streets in Erie spanned almost 100 years, and it was a sad day when production ended in 1957.
