You are bidding on a Griswold Santa Claus cake mold in excellent condition fresh from a local estate. The Griswold Manufacturing Company of Erie, Pennsylvania, recognized world wide as producers of fine cast iron products, especially cookware. They were in operation from 1865 until 1957 when they ended their manufacturing. The full body mold measures about 12" tall X 6 ¾" at the flanges and has Santa standing in front of his toy sack. Below him is a platform with "Hello Kiddies!!" molded into it. The back half of the mold has 3 vent holes; in the hat, in the bottom of the jacket, and on the base. Also on the right tab of the back half is the number 898. The front half of the mold has the number 897 on the right flange and "GRISWOLD MFG. CO. ERIE, PA" on the left. The condition of this mold and the fact that it is fresh from an estate makes this desirable mold something not to be missed. Low Start Bid ~ Happy Bidding & Good Luck!
