I have for sale, a Groove Tubes Model 1B Studio Tube Condenser Microphone. It is pretty much in as-new condition. There are no scratches or marks on it, and I have only used it once or perhaps twice .The external cardboard box is a bit worn, but apart from that, everything is complete and as new. The Groove Tubes/M-Audio Model 1B is an amazing piece of kit, but not so well known as other models, so I have copied the text from the box below, which explains a little more about it. Introduction The Groove Tubes Model 1B is an excellent tube mic delivering better performance and sound than the most prestigious mics costing much more. This enhanced reissue of our legendary Model 1A side-address, true condenser features a hand-assembled, hand-tested 1.10-inch diameter capsule. Our amazingly thin 3-micron evaporated-gold diaphragm is the thinnest in the business. Groove Tubes’ rigorous quality control also insures that your mic is within +/-1dB of our “golden microphone” spec. The Model 1B is the least expensive way to get the famous Groove Tubes tube sound in a microphone. Applications Groove Tubes’ clean, fat-sounding tube technology combine with an all-brass capsule to produce a smooth bottom and vintage tone that’s perfect for capturing and enhancing exceptional vocals. Use this mic to smooth a thin or brassy female vocal or impart a big “chesty” tone to any voice. The Model 1B is also great for most other instruments and applications—including recording stereo performances when paired. Cardioid Pattern The cardioid is the most universal polar pattern found in microphones. This is because the back of the microphone rejects sound, allowing the engineer to isolate the signal source from other performance elements or background noise.
