Vintage antique 1876 handcolored map. The map is 2 sided and either side would frame and display nicely. One side is a fine handcolored map, titled Map of Grosse Point Township. Something was attached to the map at some point, so t is some surface loss towards the middle of the map, a small bit, pls. see my photo, t are also 2 rubber stamps one at lower left, and one at right. Still a fascianting antique handcolored map of Grosse Point Township . The map shows the home and land owners, the business and industry, the few roads, railroads etc that existed at that time. Verso is a superb lithograph print page, showing fine views at Grosse Point Township, 4 views, 1 at Detroit , 2 at Hamtramck , and 1 at Greenfield Twp. T is a rubber stamps near middle. This is an antique map and not a reprint or reproduction. The handcoloring on the map is period to the map, this is before color printing. The map is from the very rare 1876 Belden Atlas of Wayne County Michigan . The map is a fascinating and historic period look at this area at this time. The photo wont show the full beauty of the original map. The map is in nice shape and would frame and display quite beautifully. The size of the map is 14.5" by 17.5".
