Group of two (2) South Carolina Obsolete Notes $4 1855 Bank of the State of South Carolina - Charleston, central vignette of Fort Moultrie. Red "FOUR" overprint. This note is well-circulated and has been "X cancelled; also has some tears and moderate paper damage; Still an attractive note and a very scarce $4 denomination. I grade Good. $10 1853 The Bank of South Carolina - Charleston, central vignette of ships at sea, Mermaid left and statue of Calhoun on the right. Stamped "Paid February 1st, 1870" on the face, a solid note I grade VG+.Both notes for one bid.
