Hi. This auction is for a great group of 3 late Victorian Christmas or Fairy Lamps. Two are Amethyst Glass and one is clear. All three have a waffle or quilted pattern. These lights were used to light Christmas trees on Victorian trees before electricity. Most usually have rough rims, and these are no exception. One of the amethyst lamps is rough ground, but has no chips. I believe this one to be the latest of the three. It measures 3 3/4" tall and is about 2 3/8" wide. The darker amethyst glass lamp has some old melted wax in the bottom of it. It measures 3 1/2" high and is 2 3/8" across. The glass at the top of this one is very thin, and is smooth with several old chips. The clear glass lamp has some roughness and small chips along the top, but is otherwise quite nice.
