In side the first piece is a coin commemorating: The Oceans Spike Centennial Celebration Commission dated 1869, 1969. T I a spike with the years. The back reads: The Central Pacific and Union Pacific Railroads Linking the Nation, Promontory Summit, Utah, The Pacific Railroad is completed 1869. It has a train scene. It is a gold coin. 2âe cube The second coin is sterling silver. It reads on the front; The General 1862 âe" 1972 .999 fine silver one ounce. It has a picture of a train. The back is engraved L.M.Heydt 12-25-72. 3âe square x 1âe deep. The third coin reads on the front: Wilmington & Western Railroad 1872 âe" 1972 with a train The back reads Greenback Station, Historic Red Clay Valley with a train scene. The coin is copper. 2âe cube. The fourth coin is sterling silver. The front of the coin reads: America âe(tm)s Greatest Events. The wedding of the rails, Completion of Americaâe(tm)s 4000 mile transcontinental railroad was celebrated by the driving of a gold spike on May 10, 1869 at Promontory, Utah.
