Up for auction today are four miscellaneous Lionel accessories that will enhance your operating layout. The grouping consists of the following items: The Lionel #252 crossing gate. This popular accessory was produced by Lionel from 1950 through 1963. It has an unpainted black plastic base which contains an opeating solenoid and light. It has a white gate with safety stripes marked on it. A clear lucite bar in the gate transmits the light from the base to the two red marker lights. The gate comes with a 145C contactor for automatic operation. Both of these 252 signals are being sold as "parts only"..The plastic arm on both signals is broken in the usual spot behind the weights. One signal works even with the break. . The Lionel #140 automatic banjo signal. This signal was produced by Lionel from 1954 through 1966. It is an accurate replica of a style of grade crossing signal that is now regarded as obsolete. This signal wuses a vibrator motor to swing a warning arm in fromt of the glowing red warning lamp making it appear to flash. It works great and includes a second signal as an extra for parts only.
