Ugliona...The Hungarian Hag Witch Springtime Hag Heart of Texas Handstitch-eds This ugly hag is sewn in super muslin and then lightly stained in coffee and vanilla to give her skin color, then heavily sprinkled in cinnamon. Her skirt is made up of a torn piece of muslin that has hand painted stars and moon in black and is all around the skirt, and then grunged in cinnamon. She carries an herb bag of rosemary and has an old skeleton key tied to the draw string. (This old skeleton key was given to me by my best friend for this hag to keep. She said it belonged to her father at his old house in Taylor, Texas.) Ug has jute for long hair that has been lightly painted in black showing the natural jute color through. T is a small double tailed mouse, with big ears, that is sewn on her shoulder, lovingly looking up at her. For the 'dirty' scarf that she is wearing, it is a long piece of cheesecloth that has been grunged in cinnamon, vanilla and coffee. She has needled stitched fingers and her eyes are 'sunk in' by needle stitching. Her mouth has also been needle stitched to give her a wrinkly 'sunk in' mouth.
