This is a GT mountain bike frame. The model is Zaskar, which was their top of the line from the mid 1990's. I'm not a GT expert, so I can only pass on what I have learned from my own research and experience. The frameset is constructed from 6061 polished aluminum tubing, welded at the joints. Zaskars have kept a high reputation with riders and collectors too. They are light weight and very stiff and responsive. The decals were removed long ago, but they can be found easily on eBay. The serial number is located on the left rear drop-out, as it should be. I have learned that non-Zaskar models have their serial numbers under the BB. The frame size, "18", and frame material, "6061" are also found stamped on the rear drop-outs. I was told this frame was also somewhat rare due to the twin-fastened rear derailleur hanger. Structural condition is excellent. Cosmetically, it's not perfect, but it has only some minor blemishes, which I tried to show in the pictures. It would shine again with a little elbow grease and soft metal polish. It has had some chain suck. Most of the marks on the frame were from tree limbs slapping and the transporting on a rear car rack hanging next to another bike. Included with the frame are the bottom bracket, the lower cable guide, the rear derailleur hanger, and the seat post clamp. I have had a couple questions read more
