For sale is a repaired #973 Gilbert Milk Action Boxcar . To this orphan I added 4 door rails, 2 doors, brake wheel, 1 standard KC truck, 1 repo knuckle coupler and contact lever & spring to the other truck. Blemishes: small chip to one catwalk, 2 BB dents between doors (kids ?), small gouge to single door placard, and faded lettering. It appears someone painted this car ... being careful to 'go around' the factory printing. I attempted to picture these blemishes ... bid accordingly. The ejector mechanism has been cleaned, oiled and adjusted to be in good working order. The internal light works and the undercarriage is very clean for a car showing the play use of this shell. Only the car is offered here. Milk cans, buttons, contact rails and platforms are available from parts dealers. This desirable car functions fine! Find a better shell for it, or use it like you see it. This is sold "as is", no return privileges. Add shipping of about $12 to winning bid in continental US only.
