Up for sale is a rather rare Gucci desk/alarm Stirrup clock from the late 1980's. It stands approx 3.5" tall and is extremely heavy with a weighted metal base. Gold coloured base and clock surround, with a mottled amber/brown marble effect coating on the main body of the clock. Good overall condition, but the veneer has chipped in a couple of places, though barely noticeable. White dial with Roman Numerals and green (luminous?) hour markers. Leather tassles on the top - sadly one is broken off but the other one remains intact. I assumed the mechanism was defective - I fitted a new battery but timekeeping was all over the place. I have now realised that the clock keeps perfect time when stood upright, but seems to stop when lay flat in the box. Therefore, it's sold as a running project piece. The clock comes complete with the original box in MINT condition! All paperwork (not signed or dated) Unusually, I am stumped as to its value! None running models sell for under £100, some of the rare ones for hundreds. For a change, I'm going to list this at a 99p start price and NO RESERVE! I will ship this worldwide (with some exceptions), but please do check for prices - this is very heavy, we're looking at £20+ for international mail. Thanks for looking.
