From the Guilford Dairy that once supplied families, schools and businesses with milk products in the Greensboro, NC area, these two bottles are in amber glass to "protect" the milk and are definitely collectible! The half gallon bottle has a character "cow" and "Grade A" in a circle. Below are the words "Guilford Dairy your home town dairy". Next is an outline of the state of North Carolina with "Produced in North Carolina" inside the graphic and below that are the words "Half Gallon Liquid". At the base the words "Half Gallon Liquid" is embossed. The bottle is indented to form a "grip" for handling the bottle and below the side with the "grip" is "MLX-5355". On the other side are the words "The Amber Bottle" and "*Protects Natural Flavor *Retains vitamin content". Embossed at the bottom is "REG. Sealed" an oval with a I inside, and "OBO". On the base is the number 9 and the number 65. T is also embossed an open chain decorative pattern. Over all the graphics are sharp and clearn. However, the graphics have faded slightly on one shoulder of the cow and on four of the letters on that side. T is a small scratch in the letter "B" of "Amber" and some fading of several letters on that side. This bottle was used and t are some normal wear marks on the outside of the bottle, but no chips, nicks or cracks. The quart bottle has the same graphics and verbiage. On the bottom t is the number 9 and the number 67. The same open chain embossing appears on along the bottom edge. The letter "T" in the word "The" shows wear, as does the "y" in Dairy adn the "d" in "Liquid". Otherwise the graphics are fine. This bottle, however, shows a lot of wear from the bottle racks. The sides and edges have lost some of their sheen and t are small, tiny pits you can just feel with your fingernail. Please e-mail me if you need additional information or photos. My husband has other dairy bottles that he has decided to sell. I will be glad to work with you on shipping if you purchase other bottles. Thank you for looking.
