This is a full quart metal can of Gulf antifreeze & summer coolant. It was packaged by Gulf Tire & Supply Company, Gulf Buildg, Houston Texas in 1969. One side of the can is predominantly blue with ice crystals pictured and that is the side w the word "antifreeze" is in large letters and summer coolant in smaller letters. The other side of the can is predominantly gold colored and has what appear to be flames to indicate heat. That is the side that has the words Summer Coolant in large letters and the word antifreeze in smaller letters. In other words the product serves equally well as an antifreeze in the cold months and serves as a summer coolant in the hot summer months. It states that it has an all season rust-corrosion inhibitor. This was one of the first YEAR ROUND antifreezes put out by an oil company. Up untill around 1969 most antifreeze was to be drained and flushed as the summer approached because it was very corrosive. Gulf still recommended that this antifreeze, even though considered to be year round antifreeze, was to be drained at the beginning of the following winter season and the system drained and flushed and new antifreeze installed.
