Very Rare GUN STOCK POWDER FLASK by Dixon & Sons Up for sale: a wonderful "Gun stock" pattern Powder Flask in stunning condition. This flask has an overall length of 8.5 Inches. The bottom is 3.25 Inches at the widest part. The original dark brown laquer is present for 98%. The embossing is very sharp and clear. The registration number 94923 is present and the "registry design" is present on the other side. The charging unit is unmarked and has a 3 step adjustable spout. The spring is very strong. T are remains of gilding present. Absolutely no dents or splits! This flask is a mystery to me.....why did james Dixon not sign the spout. It does not say "Made in England" on the charging unit / spout. This is the first time that Powderflaskhunter is facing a dilemma......is it a first generation flask by Dixon or a later one...? Maybe t is someone who can give me some useful information?! Ofcourse this auction is for only one flask. The other James Dixon & Sons flask is pictured as a reference image. The quality of the embossing is excellent. Everything on this flask shouts the famous name JAMES DIXON & SONS. You decide what amount to bid for this flask......if this is a 2nd generation flask it is the BEST condition you can get. As usual this item is offered with NO RESERVE and a WORLDWIDE shipping for only $ 13.00 Airmail. Payment read more
