Up for bid is an original copy of Roland Clark's "Gunner's Dawn". Published by the great Derrydale Press in 1937.The gilt on the front cover is very nice. The gilt on the spine is a tad faded. The binding has a little wear to the head and foot of the spine. The hinges are solid as is the text block. The frontispiece is a signed (by Roland Clark) etching, which has some foxing, it's tissue guard has a small piece missing from bottom corner. The end papers have a touch of foxing. The text pages are clean and bright, but the color illustration that are tissue guarded have foxing in the margins and some into the image. There are also two black and white plates that have some foxing. It seems the tissue guards held in some moisture. The illustrations that were done on uncoated stock are unaffected. In other words the frontispiece and the four color plates (that were tissue guarded) and the two black and white plates (which were done on coated stock) were the ones affected by foxing. Any other questions please let me know. Shipped to contingent U.S. only. Good Luck
