Due to failing health, I am in the process of liquidating my personal collection of various figurines and collectibles. The largest collection is of religious items including various M.I. Hummel and other Goebel plates, figurines, and holy water fonts. The religious collection consists of only a few plates, about thirty holy water fonts, and over three hundred figurines. Most of the figurines feature the Holy Child, the Blessed Virgin Mary (Madonna), angels, etc. The majority of the collection is from the crown era (trademark #1) to the stylized bee era (trademark #3) with a few newer pieces. All of the items that I will be offering have been well cared for and cherished over the years. I will take extreme effort to note any damage. If you are searching for something specific, please contact me. This particular auction is for a vintage six, or seven (depending how you count them), piece set of Gurley candles featuring The Nativity. The set includes Mary, Joseph, the Baby Jesus, two sheep, and a candle that fits into a wax base that is mounted on a silver cardboard disc. So, if you count the candle and the base separately, it is a seven piece set, but if you count them as one, then it is a six piece set. None of the candles have ever been burned, and they come in the original box which is in excellent condition with only one maybe 1/4" tear on the inside flap on the right hand side of the box. It is only visible when the box is opened. The candles are in excellent, used condition. The colors do not appear to be faded, but t are some lines throughout all of them w they were probably wrapped in tissue paper while being stored and some MINOR scuffs and nicks. Keep in mind that these candles are at least 40 to 50 years old - they are NOT in mint condition! Any white spots appearing in the picture(s) in the listing for this item are glare from lighting used to produce the picture(s) and NOT any damage on the item itself. I apologize, but I cannot accept personal checks. The shipping and handling for this auction will be $6.00. The figurine will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail. Once payment has been received, it will be shipped within three to five business days. When it is safe to do so, I will gladly combine items to reduce the shipping and handling charges.
