If you like your Stickley like I like my steak - very rare - then please consider this table. This is the Gustav Stickley 5-legged dining table which was produced from 1902 and for many years tafter. In the later years this was the model 632 table. In the Turn of the Century reference material t is, in the 1902 retail plates, a nearly identical table listed as model 969 E. This table is marked in three places 569 A. The "A" is in a smaller font than the numbers. It is impressed on the inside edge of each table top and once on an underside board. I have provided four photos of the number. Please note that in the photo w the table latch is evident that the number is upside down. Since it follows the pattern of the 1902 numbering scheme I am attributing it to that year. That means that this is an uncatalogued Gustav Stickley table. The only difference I discern between the 969 E and the 569 A is the height. This is a 48-inch round oak table that is 28.5 inches tall versus 30 inches for the 969 E. The leg bottoms retain their original bevels so they have not been cut down in any way. It is in good condition with minor blemishes as are expected with a piece this old. T is a small nail hole in the top as well as a 7-inch round burn mark. The bad news is that the table has been refinished. The new finish is your typical hack job that sucks the life out of the beautiful old pieces. The camera didn't pick up the black spotting which appears to be small pieces of the old finish that weren't completely stripped away. It's useable as is but for a great piece like this it needs to be redone by someone who knows what they're doing. My son and I pulled the table apart to 8 and a half feet wide. I have no boards for this table. Buyer will need to make the shipping arrangements. I can recommend several shippers that I have used successfully. I can deliver around the Washington DC metro area for a $50 dollar fee. I can store this for a few weeks if necessary. Payment by Paypal, check or Money Order. Virginia residents must pay 5% state tax unless you have a dealer's exemption number. Thanks for your consideration.
