Beautiful antique Gustav Stickley quartersawn oak four drawer dresser, model #911.
Signed w/ red decal and paper label...dates it to 1907-1912. Size: 22" deep, 36" tall (not including casters), 48" wide. Very HEAVY. Constructed completely of tight grained quartersawn oak (tiger stripe oak). Harvey Ellis design w/ dramatically arched front stretcher and reverse tapered posts. Very fine / near excellent condition! T are two minor scratches to the top. Note the condition of the red decal and the paper label...both are located inside the top drawers in the middle of the drawer bottom...a place w one would expect some wear and they are in great shape. The drawers fit nicely in the openings. T is some wear to the bottoms of the sides of the two lower drawers...to be expected with drawers this heavy. The bottom drawer weighs 18 lbs and the middle drawer weighs 22 lbs...empty! New backsplash w/ matched finish. Mortise and tenon joinery...pinned four times at the front lower arched stretcher. Original round oak knobs are doweled through the drawer fronts. Refinished...looks like original finish...has never been sanded. 33" tall to flat dresser top, 36" to top of backsplash (both dimensions are not including the casters). Medium brown color...photos taken in bright sunlight make it appear more golden/orange than reality. Most accurate color is shown in third photo (of drawer/knob w/ the paper label). Hard to find w/ the wood in this condition! Not original casters. Insured shipping paid by buyer. T is a packing fee of $125 to have professionally and properly packed. This large and heavy dresser will ship via freight (Yellow Freight is one good option) as it is too heavy for Greyhound Package Express. Appx. cost of insured shipping to the Chicago Yellow Freight Terminal is $300...to the New York City Yellow Freight terminal is $315. West Coast buyers along the I-5 corridor can use JET DELIVERY...pretty reasonable. Pickup in person is okay. If necessary, I will gladly help w/ quotes for shipping for serious buyers. If you want to use a different freight company that is fine as well. PayPal due w/in 3 days. MO or check due w/in 7 days.
