This auction is for an original Gustav Sticley Rocker #305 with original finish and signed with a red mark.
A photo of this rocker can be found in the reprint catalogue "Collected Works of Gustav Stickley" on page 71 of the 1904 section. The back is 32" high. The seat is 14" high and 16" square. All of the seat material is original with the exception of new leather with a little cotton padding, and the cambric underneath the seat. It is oak with a dark finish. It has been cleaned and given a good coat of wax. Some of the edges are rough, but then again it is close to 100 years old. The photo above shows the rocker before we had the new leather put on. You can see the original padding material tacked to the side rails. We added a single layer of cotton over this before new leather.
