GUSTAV STICKLEY SIGNED MISSION 42" LIBRARY TABLE c 1910 Early LARGE Original finish Craftsman Mission Table This is a truly lovely large original finish Gustav Stickley signed Arts and Crafts/Mission-style library table. Besides having Stickley's signature, the bottom of the table top also reveals Stickley's paster, the note Stickley put on his work guaranteeing their quality. This piece comes from an East Hampton estate of an avid collector of Stickley, all of which we will be listing over the next week or two. This particular table was appraised by Sotheby's in 1996 for $9,000, "Fair Market Value." In today's market, it is worth considerably more. We will be listing in a separate auction six Stickley chairs that go well with this table. The table has a fantastic appearance. First, upon close inspection, I believe this top may have been removed for a house move about thirty or forty years ago and placed back on the base using different hardware. Having said that, I must add that the top is absolutely rock solid with the base. The only reason why I suspect this is from the hardware. You can see Stickley's original holes next to the newer anchor and screw. Please look at the hardware in this much enlarged image and judge for yourself. Remember, this is a flaw that no one will ever see. This is an Ebay Only auction. That means that your bid MUST be in by June 6, 9:50 PM EDT or you will be shut out. Don't risk getting shut out-get your bid in early. All shipping costs to be paid by buyer. Local (East Hampton, NY) pickup certainly available and encouraged. We will be happy to provide buyer with contact info for reputable local shippers. Insurance, of course, is required. Once this table leaves the premises, it is the property of the buyer. Payment on this item to be made by check or Money Order or certified check. If payment is made by personal check, buyer must allow ten business days before pickup. We do accept Paypal. However, if payment is made via Paypal, the shipping method chosen MUST conform with Paypal's buyer and seller protection policies. This includes verifiable online tracking from a shipper that Paypal recognizes. In this case, other forms of payment would probably make more sense.
