Within our Club Membership, we are fortunate to have some highly skilled modellers, and this item has been refurbished by one of them.

This K's kit came to us in a poor condition. It has been partly dismantled and then rebuilt, followed by repainting with new lettering and numbers, finished with a coat of matt varnish.

It has been given a running number of 237.

It now has white metal ‘Dean’ type bogies and the couplings have been changed to modern Hornby/Bachmann.

The estimated cost of this item plus material, to create this model, is £31.40, which is why it is only being offered on a ‘Buy it now’ basis.

This item is unboxed, but will be carefully packed for posting out.

Conditions of Sale: We are not a commercial seller. This site is run by the members of Twickenham & District Model Railway Club. All items have been donated and net proceeds of sales will be used to further the hobby of model railways. For more information on our club please look at our web site .uk Postage: Following recent helpful comments from prospective buyers, which we have taken into account, we shall now obtain a Post Office Certificate of Posting' for every item dispatched by 2nd Class Mail.

Don't forget that the Royal Mail postage rates for small packets significantly increased from 1st May

This will apply to all smaller items up to and including single coaches.

For larger and multiple items, we shall dispatch them, using either a Signed for' (2nd Class Mail) or Next Day Delivery', depending on the nature and total value of the items involved.

If you are unhappy with our postage conditions, and prefer a superior service, please let us know and we shall be happy to provide a quote for your decision.

We will discount postage for multiple buys.

Whatever costs are incurred, these will be reflected in the invoice sent to the successful buyer.

If you are not happy with this arrangement then please do not bid and then complain about the costs.

Packaging:

We shall always try to use good recycled material, wherever possible, in order to keep the final P & P costs down to a realistic level for buyers.

We shall aim to post any item within 2 working days of a cleared payment to us, and we shall advise when the item(s) have been sent.

In the event of an item not being received, then we need to be informed very quickly, in order to make a claim from the Post Office. Buyers should be aware that such claims can take a number of weeks for the necessary investigations to be undertaken, and any fraudulent claims will be prosecuted by the Post Office and the Police.

In the event of receiving an damaged parcel, please photograph BEFORE opening. Should the item inside be damaged, please photograph and then contact us immediately.

In the event of finding any item received, being damaged in the postal system, then the buyer needs to again photograph and then advise us very quickly. The buyer should retain the item and all packaging, in case the Post Office wish to inspect.

Payments: We would prefer payment directly to our club bank account as PayPal commission (3.4% + 20p per transaction) chargeable on everything that we receive including postage is a relatively high cost on top of auction and listing fees.

This proposed process will not detract from the superb service that we already provide our widening customer base.
