You are viewing a very hard to find victorian (GWTW )Gone With The Wind lamp. This lamp was made by the Consolidated Glass company of Coraopolois Pa. around 1902. It is in as found condition, the lamp has been electrified at sometime from its original oil state.. The glass parts of the lamp are in good condition other then a couple of small flakes on the edge of the ball shade ( these are shown in picture 8 and are covered by the shade ring when shade is in place.). This one is decorated with stencils of different Lion Safari scenes. The decoration is also on good condition with slight wear to the surface of the bottom portion of the lamp, I assume this is from cleaning spilled oil over the course of time from the surface of the glass. T is a very tiny speck of brown paint off of one of the blown out Lion faces on the base (see picture 5). These high end lamps are very hard to find in any condition these days.... and this one has very minor flaws. It is impossible for me to see whether the font has been drilled or not without removing the electrical cord and taking it completly apart , but I am pretty certain that the upper portion of the burner has been soldered to the electric socket that was added to the lamp during its "upgrade" to electric.
