Four Gypsy Pegs or Primitive Clothes Pins. About 5-1/2 in. long.They are carved from hardwood and bound together with strips from old tin cans.They are referred to as "Gypsy Pegs", as they were reportedly hand made by Gypsies and sold to housewives. However, they could have been made by any itinerant crafts person, tramp, hobo, or by the user.The primitive construction makes these items quite unique.
