Description: This is absolutely one of the best examples of early cut crystal and very, very heavy to boot! It is not surprising as it was done by renowned glass cutter âeoeHawkesâe and bears his name etched on the polished base of the salt, along with a design that too must be his design, similar to a 3 leaf clover. This salt is featured in H&Jâe(tm)s 5000 Open Salts as #3092. The cuttings are sharp, the top and base are polished, with no cracks, nicks, spoon marks or fleabites. Amazing that it has been well-preserved over the many, many years. A collector should have at least one of these in his/her collection. Put into a China cupboardâe¦it will stand out as a fine example of the âeoebrilliant periodâe. Condition is very, very good, with 2-3 minor fleabites that take a Jeweler's loop to detect. Nonetheless, an exquisite heavy cut-crystal saltcellar of the "Brilliant Period", that was undoubtedly bought and used by one of the more afluent families before we became owners. Payment Methods: Paypal or United States Postal MO Note: Payments must be received with 10 days, unless other arrangements are agreed to, or we reserve the right to re-list the item. We accept returns only if an item is misrepresented, not Buyer's remorse. We do not purport to be experts, however, we hold our own as to knowledge, affordable pricing, low shipping, etc. We attempt to run an honest, customer friendly business base and deal mostly in salt cellars, as that is our own passion.
