R. H. RUANA Custom Knife "Little Knife" Stamp 1944-1955 Studebaker Spring Blade Model 20A Deluxe Skinner Excellent Condition Custom Original Leather Sheath and Stone This is one of those old Studebaker Spring knives from the hands of Mr. Ruana himself. I bought this knife from the second owner. His uncle gave him this knife as a gift in 1956. If you go to page 94 of the book, "Hear The Hammer" by Smith, Towsley and Mandell, you will see the old catalog page where this knife was featured. Specs.: 1. Model: "20A Deluxe Skinner". 2. Blade: Studebaker Spring Steel. Nice patina on blade as would be expected. Custom checkered thumb notches on top of blade. Very light sharpening marks on blade. Original grind lines and full cutting edge. 3. Blade: 5-5/8" long 1-1/2" wide out of 1/4" stock. Overall length: 10-3/16" 4. Handle: Aluminum and Elk antler. Aluminum rivets and handle slabs are tight and full with no chips or cracks. Stamped: " R H RUANA BONNER MONTANA ". Also stamped with the "Little Knife" stamp from that period. 5. Blade Features: Blade has the blood groove ground into each side. 6. Sheath: Original Brown Leather Sheath. The old Deluxe Sheaths were not stamped. 7. Sheath Rivets: Brass. That's right, Brass; not copper or aluminum. Knife and sheath are in excellent used condition. Knife has been used, resharpened and stored by someone who loved this knife like you would a gift from your favorite uncle. Original sharpening stone shows some wear appropriate for the age of this knife. Please check my feedback, you will not be disappointed!!!Please check out my other listings. Thank you for bidding.
