R. H. RUANA Custom Knife "M" Stamp 1962 - 1983 Model 20A Deluxe Skinner Excellent+++ Condition Custom Original Leather Sheath and Stone A super nice R. H. Ruana, M-stamped knife that is almost near mint. If it were not for the slightest of sharpening marks, it would be. If you go to page 99 of the book, "Hear The Hammer" by Smith, Towsley and Mandell, you will see the old catalog page where this knife was featured. The book seems to date this one between 1962 and about 1978. Specs.: 1. Model: "20A Deluxe Skinner". 2. Blade: High Carbon Steel. Very little use. Very light sharpening marks on blade. Original grind lines and full cutting edge. Wicked razor sharp! 3. Blade: 5" long 1-1/2" wide out of 1/4" stock. Overall length: 9-3/4" 4. Handle: Aluminum and Elk antler. Aluminum rivets and handle slabs are tight and full with no chips or cracks. Stamped: " R H RUANA BONNER MONTANA ". Also stamped with the " M" stamp from that period. 5. Blade Features: Blade has the blood groove ground into each side. 6. Sheath: Original Brown Leather Sheath. The old Deluxe Sheaths were not stamped. 7. Sheath Rivets: Copper. 8. Snaps: All work perfectly. No dents or scratches. They say " DOT " inside the snap. Knife and sheath are in excellent+++ used condition. Some slight green stuff at the rivets. Some rub marks and a few slight nicks on sheath. Knife has been used, resharpened. Original sharpening stone shows no wear that you can see.
