H.H. Scott Tube LK-48 Integrated Amplifier tested and working. The only mode that is suspect is the phono input. When the input selector is switched to phono I get a hum and fluttering. As far as I can tell the other features of this vintage amp work. I used this amplifier with an Adcom tuner and a pair of Dynaco A35 speakers and it has equal output on both left and right channels. As far as cosmetics the face plate is bent on the corners and the sides. I didn't try to bend them back. I am sure t is a procedure to straighten the sides and corners out. I don't know it, so I leave well enough alone. The chassis is in very nice condition and the tubes are a mixture of vintage brands. Although this unit works as stated, it has to be checked out by a tech. who is familiar with vintage tube electronics. This unit is nearing 50 years old and I am sure t are capacitors, components and tubes that are not at their original tolerance. These parts were not meant to last two lifetimes so without a doubt this unit needs to be checked out by someone in the know. I have described this unit to the best of my ability, due to age and a long period of non-use this unit is being sold for restoration and is offered " as is." Shipping cost includes packing/handling/and insurance. Please look at the photos included in this auction. What you see is Exactly read more
