This is an original Edo period samurai police weapon in excellent condition. The blade is in original polish in good shape with some minor staining. T is no damage or flaws. The tip is incredibly sharp. The lacquer work on the scabbard has been professionally restored and looks really nice. It measures 23 inches long overall with a 14.25 inch blade from tip to handle. Hachiwara like this one are somewhat rare and only a few are found for sale over the years. Watch for my other auctions...I have a nice sword collection to sell
